Help Lewisville Morning Rotary present  our bike awards at Central Elementary School.  Bikes will be presented to boys and girls in grades PreK to 5th garde.  Central Elementary teachers will nominate and select students for the awards.

Thurdsday morning. Looking forward to lots of food and laughs! And some wine. It is a dutch treat evening.

Hello LMR friends.   You are invited to attend our Pass the Gavel event at Prairie House in Oldtown, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 6:30 pm to honor our outgoing president, Todd Taylor, and welcome our new president, Bob Troyer, and board members.  We will celebrate with dinner and cocktails. (Dutch treat) Please join for an evening of celebration and fellowship..Guests are welcome.

Rotarians:

You have an amazing opportunity to grow unity within our community and spread God’s love.  For 24 hours, over a thousand people will gather to package meals to feed the hungry.  This generosity event is called the “Rise Against Hunger Community Packathon”.

Every person matters.  From noon July 18 til noon July 19, we will package 285,000 meals.  That’s a lot of food - enough to fill an entire shipping container.  

Please join me in this BOLD move to make a difference.  We need YOUR Help:

• 1,200 Volunteers are needed to help package the meals 
  • Looking for ways FAMILIES can serve together?  This is it ! ! !  Ages 5 to 100+ can participate in packaging.
  • Do you know of teens in need of SERVICE HOURS?  The is it ! ! !  A lock-in with police security is available from Midnight 7/18 til 6am 7/19 with supervised entertainment.
• And we need Sponsors to help pay for the raw materials.
  • Each meal costs less than 44¢.  That’s cheap to meat someone’s nutritional needs.
  • If you do the math, packaging 285,000 meals will cost $125,000 in raw materials and supplies
  • Individual contributions and Corporate Sponsorship will make this happen.

Highland Village Rotary is sponsoring a back to school social at Awesome Times in Highland Village.  All proceeds go to Communities in Schools of North Texas.

Join us in welcoming students on the first day of school.  This is a fun event cheering students on as they walk the red carpet.  Arrive by 7:00 AM for a 7:10 start.

Educate U is DATCU's free online platform that helps you take control of your finances with personalized learning based on your specific money personality.

Support our Lewisville Morning Rotary Club fundraiser.  We will manage the CCA parking lot during the Western Days Festival on September 26th and 27th.  Please sign-up for one or more shifts and help out!

We will have drinks and food available for the volunteers.

Join us in supporting the CCA Hopeful Hearts 5k fundraiser on September 27th.  We will provide pancakes for the runners and guests at the 5k.

Sign up to help cook and serve pancakes and represent our club!  Mark will provide more details as the event gets closer.

Monthly Club Update

All area Rotary Clubs are invited to participate in this fundraising event.   There will be a pub crawl at Shops of Highland Village.  There will be a $20 participation fee that will go to the club's End Polio Now effort.  This will be held in conjunction with our World Polio Day proclamation by the City of Lewisville.

We have an opportunity to help distribute food to families in need in the Lewisville area.  The We Are 1 Community organization, part of Love For Kids, is holding their monthly food distribution event at Lewisville High School Harmon Campus on November 8th.   With the increased need they expect to exceed the 4,000 families they normally serve.

Our help is needed.

He is a dedicated advocate for his community and has served on the Hospital Foundation Board, Rotary International, and taught Junior Achievement. In addition, he kept close to his sports roots by coaching youth and high school football in Frisco, TX. He has also been actively involved in his church.
