Sunrise Meeting News - Thursday, Sept 12, 2019 (Sep 11, 2019)

As we recall the events of 9-11, let us honor all those that lost their lives on that date 18 years ago. In particular all the first responders that placed themselves in harms way. Let us honor all of them and their surviving families by proudly displaying our flag.

Providing flags for our residents to display on days like today is without a doubt, one of the most rewarding community service activities for us and our scouting partners.

Our bookworms first ever LMR Book Club meeting

Posted on Sep 11, 2019

Rotary Members that love reading enjoyed a

lively discussion over William Landay's

best seller, Defending Jacob

If you have yet to read this novel, all present at our 1st Bookworms meeting would highly recommend it. We will be choosing a book for our next meeting in October and announcing at our next regular meeting. Look for the announcement on our website, get the book we choose and join us in October a fun evening of book discussions, wine and appetizers.

Fun time had by LMR members at End of Summer Pool Party

End of Summer Pool Party

hosted by

Mark and Nancy Smith

Thank you Mark & Nancy. You two host a fantastic party. Even though the only way any of got wet at your pool party is when Sadie retrieved the ball from the pool and shook out her coat, we all had a blast. The games were fun, the food was fantastic and of course the company was outstanding. Only in Texas can it be to hot to go swimming (except for Ryker and Sadie). That did not stop us from enjoying a great time with our Rotary Buds.

Meet our newest September Members

Congratulations!

Cheryl Brennan and Deanna Perkins

our newest Rotary Members

From left to right in the thumbnail photo above are Club President Tom Rowe, new member Cheryl Brennan, sponsor Bob Troyer, new member Deanna Perkins and Club Secretary Mary Jones.

It is always a joy for a club president to be able to induct new members. Particularly at Lewisville Morning Rotary were new members are pinned and vested in their brand new Rotary vest. Both of which celebrate Rotary's Brand as PEOPLE of ACTION that place service above self.
