You may be aware our club has partnered with the Rotary Club of San Pedro-Curridabat to host dental health fairs in the immigrant community of Tirrases in July, 2018 and March, 2019. Our clubs are partnering to receive a matching Global Grant from the Rotary Foundation to provide dental equipment for 3 suites in a new facility being built by the community.
Sound like fun? For a minimum donation of $25/person or $40/couple toward our project, you’re invited to the event which will take place on May 17, 2019 from 7 pm to 10 pm at Wines With (an) Appeal, 917 N. Mill St. in Lewisville, TX
Sample and learn about 12 different wines from all over the world that are simply not readily available in the DFW retail market. Guests will also learn about wine making, wine history and test their skills at wine trivia. All of the wines tasted will be available for purchase. Case discounts apply on purchases of 6 or more bottles.
The funds we raise at the Wine Tasting & Silent Auction will be applied
towards the matching grant that will serve Tirrases, a vulnerable
community of 23,000 people living in poor conditions. Currently they are
dealing with sometimes waiting a full year for a dental appointment, then
facing a lengthy walk to reach the clinic.
We will be offering a variety of silent auction items generously donated by Rotarians and local merchants!
Light hors d’oeuvres, including cheese & crackers, fruits & veggies and meats will be available as palate cleansers.
