Bike Awards for Central ES students to continue
Year end bike awards program for Central ES Students to continue.
Program continues with a Covid 19 pandemic driven modification.
Instead of recognizing perfect attendance, we will recognize perfect engagement.

Going to school is hard enough when in the class room environment. But, going to school virtually and succeeding requires commitment by the student and encouragement from their teachers and family. This year we will be recognizing 10 Central Elementary School students who have worked hard and succeeded in the Covid 19 home schooling environment. Members are meeting virtually with CES School Principal Lea Deavers 9 am, after our 8 am meeting tomorrow to decide how and when the student awards will take place.
Lewisville Morning Rotary contributes to Rotary Rises Global Grant
The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club Board of Directors votes to support
Rotary District 5790 Rotary Rises Global Grant. Our $500 pledge helped raise $55,000
which when matched with Rotary Foundation funds will provide over $155,000

The grant funds, when approved by The Rotary Foundation will be used for local healthcare related projects and food banks serving non-profits like our own Christian Community Action and the Salvation Army soup kitchen. In addition to the club grant, club members have also donated money to the project.
Volunteer Surge - Covid 19 volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to free up our healthcare
workers so they can focus on serving critically
ill Covid 19 victims.

Rotary International is partnering with the Global Impact Group to train and source community volunteers to perform healthcare tasks how they can do to help fight the virus, either from their homes or by assisting healthcare workers (subject to governmental requirements).. The goal is one million volunteers. Click here for more information. Please share this information with friends and neighbors.
