Hold the date for our Virtual Christmas Party
Lewisville Morning Rotary Board of Directors
approved a Virtual Christmas Party this year in
keeping with the need for Covid 19 Safety practices.
The date has been set for Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020
 
We are making plans to celebrate a great Christmas party at this end of the year celebration as we all give 2020 a good swift boot off the planet. Plans are being finalized this coming week. Watch our FB Page and Website for details.
 
 
Lewisville Morning Rotary members to participate in a Covid 19 modified version our Santa event for the 2020 Holiday Stroll
The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club is joining forces with the
Main and Mill Association and the Old Town Business Association
to present a safe Covid 19 version of the traditional Holiday Stroll
at Wayne Ferguson Plaza in Old Town Lewisville
 
Instead of the traditional Pancakes with Santa on the plaza, club members will be greeting holiday strollers and giving out Santa Treat Sacks for good little children and their folks. Plans are being finalized as this story is being published. Watch our FB page and website for details.
LMR Members volunteer for the Salvation Army's Annual Red Kettle
It's Tradition! Every Saturday after Thanksgiving several members
volunteer for the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Duty Fundraiser
at Sam's Club in Lewisville. This year is no different. Members will
be on site from 11 AM to 8 PM encouraging shoppers to fill the kettle.

Dedication Ceremony for trees planted by Lewisville Morning Rotary
Tentative date set for Dedication Ceremony for the trees planted by the the Lewisville Morning Rotary Club along the new Garden Ridge Bike and Walk Trail in Lewisville. Club leadership is coordinating with the City of Lewisville Parks Department and has tentatively set the date as November 21st at 9 AM. The club has worked with the city parks department to plant several trees along this new trail. When confirmed, announcements and invitations will be sent.
District 5790 offers a point match so members can achieve their Paul Harris Fellow
Excellent opportunity for members to become
a Paul Harris Fellow or Paul Harris Fellow +
through a 1 for 1 point match for every cash
dollar donated between now and Jan 31, 2021.

Lewisville Morning Rotary collecting Sox and Gloves for homeless vets
Lewisville Morning Rotary Club is partnering
with the Denton County Veterans Coalition to
seek donations of sox and gloves for homeless 
veterans in Denton County area.
 
Our veterans have served and protected us. Some have fallen on hard times and are homelessness. Please help us provide sox and gloves to these vets. Please drop off your donation of new sox and or gloves at one of the Jim Verfurth family of restaurants; Verf's Grill and Tavern, Shoal Creek Tavern and Lambeau's America Kitchen and Taps. You can also drop off new sox and gloves at Kwik Kar Vista Ridge.
