Membership Committee People of Action Membership Plan Announcement
Sustaining our clubs Fantastic Community Service Image requires a People of Action Growth Plan

Our club is an award winning club known in the community for its service. We know the need for community service volunteer activities such as ours is great. Our membership has big hearts, but to be able to continue our service mission in the community, we need more members like us that have a passion for giving of their time, talent and treasure.

Membership in Rotary is by invitation. We invite friends and neighbors to our meetings and service projects so they can learn about our club's passion for service. Such passion is infectious and these friends and neighbors become interested in being an active part of Rotary.

Lewisville Morning Rotary 2018-19 Goals
Lewisville Morning Rotary Goals

In February of 2018 the Lewisville Morning Rotary Club started their 2018-2021 Strategic Planning through a process called visioning. At our February 2nd meeting District Visioning Chair Gene Davenport was our speaker and introduced the visioning concept to the club. In a nutshell, club members were asked to provide ideas of what they thought our club should look like and be doing in the year 2021. He left us with some homework to complete before beginning our visioning process Feb 17, 2018.

Seventeen of our members participated in the visioning process which was extremely productive. We developed many ideas and homed in on a final consensus agreement of what the club should look like in 3 years. Subsequently, then club president Jeff Siebert led club members through several exercises that were intended to be a template for the plan of action for each of the next 3 years.

We have already seen some of the fruits of our efforts with the new meeting venue and flexible meeting schedule.

Since that time, club leadership has developed and reported the following goals for the 2018-2019 Rotary year, as President Elect, Tom Rowe is tasked with updating these goals and reminding us where we stand:

LEF Curiouser and Curiouser - An Evening for Education
LEF Curiouser and Curiouser - An Evening for Education

Connie has worked in three very different arenas during her life. While living in Europe for 21 years she owned and operated several blue jean stores named Connie’s Jeans in Luxembourg. While in Europe, she enjoyed traveling across the continent. In 1989, Connie returned to North Texas with her two children. In 1991, she began working for Boeing-Corinth. Her Boeing career as the Community Relations and Communications Manager included establishing a community relations program, acting as company spokesperson, maintaining a $1 million annual contribution budget for the State of Texas and serving on The Boeing Company philanthropic company-wide team. In this capacity, she also served on many Denton County boards and committees. She is the past president of both the Lake Cities and Denton Chambers and a graduate of both Denton and Lewisville Leadership programs. Connie’s third arena is the non-profit world. As the Executive Director of the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation, she maintains and initiates new fundraising programs, administers the LEF scholarship and grants programs, and fosters donor relations.
