This year, in spite of Covid 19 we continued the tradition albeit the winners of the bikes were announced in a virtual celebration at our May 22nd meeting (click to see announcement video). On Wednesday, June 10 we safely while social distancing awarded the bikes to the deserving students in the main drive of the school at Central Elementary School from 6 pm to 7 pm. In the current state we’re in putting a joy on the student faces was priceless. Summer just got better for these outstanding kids, letting them know that there efforts is recognized and their success is what matters.

Lewisville Area Flags Project

We are in the middle of spring Lewisville Area Flags Subscription sale. Everyone can subscribe by clicking Lewisville Area Flags. Please share this subscription link with your Lewisville area friends and neighbors. Thank you to the flag committee and Boy Scout Troop 9168 for all the work in developing the plans, creating the new "Lewisville Area Flags" brand, developing communication content, coordinating sleeve installation and repairs and of course launching the flags to our current subscribers.

The Lewisville Area Flag project is our clubs primary fund raiser. And this year, thanks to Covid 19 limitations may be placed on public events usually connected with our traditional fund raisers, it is even more important that every member participate in helping promote the project wherever and whenever we can.

Rotary International response to recent tragic events

Lewisville Morning Rotary members vote this week to Sponsor RC of Sochi Russia

Two weeks ago, we had a great presentation fromValentina Bogdanova, President

of the provincial RC of Sochi Central. This week, our club members are voting

to be one of the charter sponsors for the RC of Sochi Central.

Below is Rotary's criteria for the actions sponsoring clubs should do to insure the success of the newly chartered club when they have the minimum 20 members needed to be chartered. If the majority of members vote to sponsor this club, we will be one of at least 2 sponsoring clubs. Other clubs are more local to Sochi, Russia. If you have not already submitted your vote to Tom please do so. See criteria below.
