Henik is back in the states for two weeks visiting all the buds he made here in Texas while he was an exchange student. You may recall, Lewisville Morning Rotary Club was his host club. He spent the first few months living with the Pokorny's and the last few months living with the James Family an exchange family of 5 a few doors down from the Pokorny's. Henrik attended Marcus HS where he played JV Basketball in addition to his academic endeavors.
He looks forward to seeing and talking to club Rotarians filling us in on his adventures since returning home.

Doris Scales asked that we pass on the following message: "We truly appreciate everyone's prayers. Thank you so much. Blessings". Although he is on a long road to full recovery, we know with the prayers and support of the community he will return to full health.
8 Lewisville Morning members attended District Training Assembly
The District 5790 Club Leadership Training assembly took place April 27th at Tarrant County College - Northwest Campus in north Fort Worth. Two of our members served as facilitators for two of the breakout sessions and the remainder attended breakout sessions designed to share the latest Rotary information in various subjects such as International Service, Foundation, Youth Service, Membership and Public Image.
Most importantly, we used the event as an opportunity to "connect" with other District 5790 Rotary members to encourage them to partner with us on our Costa Rica Dental Equipement Project. We also sold fresh Costa Rica Coffee as a fund raiser for the project.

Last Chance - we need membership input from every member
As of today, 43% of our membership has completed our member satisfaction survey. If you have not completed the survey, please take 5 minutes before you leave our Thursday evening meeting to complete the survey. Return the completed surveys to Marilyn Pokorny or me (Bill Shaw). The survey is intended to solicit member opinions about our club meetings, projects, fund raisers and administrative processes. The membership committee will be analyzing the data from the survey to make recommendations to the BOD for improving our member experience. The committee will be presenting a survey response report to membership during one of the April meetings.
