Our 2018 Flag Lease Subscription Program has begun.
We are inviting all residents with homes in cities of Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village to consider our flag lease program. We partner with scouting groups and other youth organizations to erect a 3' x 5' Flag on a 10' staff in your front during national holidays. We have two programs; Tier I which delivers flags on 6 holidays for $48/year and Tier II which delivers flags on 10 holidays for $80/year. See below for the holidays included in each tier.
If you are a returning subscriber, thank you for your past participation. We encourage you to please share this article with your neighbors and encourage them to join you and your family in honoring our flag and our country. And thank you for supporting both LMR and local youth organizations by purchasing an annual subscription to our flag program.

Mark your calendar for April 14th. That is Household Hazardous Waste Collection day. We need 6 to 8 volunteers to help remove waste from the vehicles of Lewisville residents that have come to properly dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste. This is a wonderful environmental project for club members. If you can volunteer please e-mail Todd Taylor.
Members donate 9 cases of #5 & #6 Diapers for Children served by Loreto House
We are Rotary #MakingaDifference#PeopleofAction. Yesterday, our members received word that Loreto House was in dire need of diapers. Today, thanks to the generosity of our members we filled the back of an SUV and delivered the diapers to their facility in Denton. For more info on Loreto House go to www.loretohouse.org
As a project, this was definitely one of smallest ones. But to quote St. Teresa of Calcutta "Not All Of Us Can Do Great Things, But We Can Do Small Things With Great Love"
This Hebron High School senior has had an outstanding 4 year experience as a well rounded student with excellent academic credentials, several different volunteer activities and admirable service to her fellow students through her Student Council and Theater Arts involvement.
Cassandra is the Our Community Matters Program Coordinator. The Our Community Matters Program (OCMP) is focused on providing community education and awareness information/events to the often underserved population of African-American victims and survivors of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence and their children in the Denton County community.
Each ethnicity or race has its own unique personality and inclination (or not) towards the therapeutic and healing process. As service providers, it is our job to recognize these sensitivities as well as any barriers we contribute that might hinder a successful outcome. The OCMP is designed to help discuss these sensitivities and barriers in a genuine and validating way; this program hopes to shine light onto statistics and conversations that are often not discussed. This program can’t thrive without community partnerships and stakeholders such as churches, businesses, schools, etc.
Cassandra would love to tell you more about Denton County Friends of the Family and the Our Community Matters Program.
Lewisville Morning Rotary meets at 7 AM on the 1st, 2nd 3rd Thursday of the month and a 7 PM on the 4th Thursday of the month at Old Town Brewhouse, 146 Whatley Rd, Lewisville, TX
