Raising money for AWOW Light Up Smiles in Costa Rica
Recently three Lewisville Morning Rotary Club members flew to Costa Rica to take part in the AWOW Light-Up Smiles program. This dental initiative is among the charitable programs and many ways that AWOW International Girls Leadership Initiative participates as an active participant in the communities where it serve. AWOW'S primary areas of focus are education, leadership, health, and human services.

Members of Lewisville Morning Rotary Club, Campbell & William Family Dental-Highland Village, and Future Without Poverty-University of North Texas traveled (courtesy of Southwest Airlines) to San Jose, Costa Rica to volunteer in this life changing event.

LMR team was led by current President D.D.S Jeff Sebiert, Immediate Past President Carolyn Wright and Club Administrator Frances Al-Waely. To continue this initiative, AWOW will host a drawing for 2 roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines; to anywhere in the continental US that Southwest operates. Drawing is Dec 2nd. You do not have to be present to win. Purchase your ticket(s) 1 For $10, 3 For $25, 7 For $50 for a chance to win or Contact Rotary Member and AWOW Executive Director Carolyn Wright.

Editor John Pokorny has corrected the Oct 26th newsletter and website story regarding the Oct 21st Flag Retirement Ceremony. The organization that performed the flag folding demonstration was Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) chapter 920 from Denton, TX not the Purple Heart Vietnam Vets as noted in the story.
