Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your shift and dress for the weather (in layers) as you will be outside, festive attire is always welcome! 2. There is a QR code on the sign for people to scan and donate at their convenience. The QR code directs them to The Salvation Army's Red Kettle donation page. 3. Please ring with a smile, and look shoppers in the eye and wish them all a "Merry Christmas" and thank them if they donate. Feel free to play Christmas music on your device or an instrument, make it fun! 4. After your shift, please wait until the next ringer arrives OR if you're the last shift, wait for the Runner to pick up your kettle. Captain Noble is doing a follow-up visit after his appearance back in November of last year. WL “Lee” Noble was born in a small town near a huge Texas metropolitan city. Lee is the eldest of 5 children to a lonely 16-year-old mother who fell for her older violent and unattached first love. When he was about 3 years old, Lee’s father, Sonny, and his mother eventually went their separate ways. She wasn’t equipped to be a mother, nor did she have the wherewithal to take care of herself. She had to find her own way because her mother (Lee’s grandmother) was murdered on Lees mother’s 3rd birthday. Lee’s mother was with her at the time of the incident when her ex-boyfriend shot her as they attended a carnival. This desperate and horrid family history would become a dance that would engulf Lee’s internal being for his entire life. In his book, “The Call of the Wild Child”, Lee candidly reveals how he overcame his harrowing circumstances and brought vital awareness to the subject of physical and mental abuse in the face of family domestic violence. |
