This will be a fun Rotary event working with the Denton Rotary Club and The Denton Lake-Cities Rotary Club.

We will be packing 35,000 meals into 162 boxes!  Please join us for this fun and educational event.

Let's apply labels to the dictionaries we will distribute to LISD schools.  We will meet at Central Elementary school and I'll bring pizza!

Join us for our 4-Way Test Speech Contest during our regular Thursday morning meeting on March 13.

On Thursday morning, March 27th, in lieu of our regular meeting, we will be volunteering at Central Elementary school to support the Come and Eat It program.  Volunteers will help the elementary students learn about healthy foods and will assist them in preparing a dish.   We did this last year and it was a fun experience!

Slots are also available at Independence Elementary in Castle Hills.

Join us at the Lewisville Morning Rotary Adopt-A-Spot location to do some clean-up.  The spot is at N. Garden Ridge Blvd and Juniper Ln.  You can park on the side streets or in the shopping center at 950 N. Garden Ridge Blvd.  Todd will have supplies.  Bring your own gloves if you wish.

As you know our member Chonnie Richie's Organization, Independence Gardens, is having an event called  Girls Save The World, a groundbreaking STEAM and leadership event where 100 girls will design and pitch tiny home prototypes that turn food waste into food access.

Volunteers are needed on Sunday, April 6th to support this event.  Several shifts are avsilable throughout the day.  Please consider volunteering at the signup link.

Help us distribute dictionaries to LISD 3rd grade students at LISD title I elementary schools (11).  We will deliver some dictionaries to students in the classrooms and some dictionaries to the school office.  Click on the link to see the school delivery schedule.

Susan is the founder and executive director of Hearts for Homes. 

Volunteers are needed to help clean community spaces around town and bring trash back onsite at Thrive. All ages and group sizes welcome. Cleanup supplies will be provided.

 - Check in 8am-9am

- Cleanup (offsite) 8am-11am

- Trash count and volunteer giveaways 11:30am

-  Awards 12pm

Let's meet and put together bikes for the Central Elementary Bike Awards. We can also check out the bikes to be sure they are ready to go.

I'll have refreshments and snacks.

Hello LMR friends.   You are invited to attend our Pass the Gavel event at Prairie House in Oldtown, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 6:30 pm to honor our outgoing president, Todd Taylor, and welcome our new president, Bob Troyer, and board members.  We will celebrate with dinner and cocktails. (Dutch treat) Please join for an evening of celebration and fellowship..Guests are welcome. 

Lewisville Morning Rotary is sponsoring two students.  Club will provide transportation to and from the camp at Texas Women's University.

Rotarians:

You have an amazing opportunity to grow unity within our community and spread God’s love.  For 24 hours, over a thousand people will gather to package meals to feed the hungry.  This generosity event is called the “Rise Against Hunger Community Packathon”.

Every person matters.  From noon July 18 til noon July 19, we will package 285,000 meals.  That’s a lot of food - enough to fill an entire shipping container.  

Please join me in this BOLD move to make a difference.  We need YOUR Help:

• 1,200 Volunteers are needed to help package the meals 
  • Looking for ways FAMILIES can serve together?  This is it ! ! !  Ages 5 to 100+ can participate in packaging.
  • Do you know of teens in need of SERVICE HOURS?  The is it ! ! !  A lock-in with police security is available from Midnight 7/18 til 6am 7/19 with supervised entertainment.
• And we need Sponsors to help pay for the raw materials.
  • Each meal costs less than 44¢.  That’s cheap to meat someone’s nutritional needs.
  • If you do the math, packaging 285,000 meals will cost $125,000 in raw materials and supplies
  • Individual contributions and Corporate Sponsorship will make this happen.
