The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation’s Board of Directors named Dr. Thomas White as Executive Director in August 2019. He became the third executive director in the nearly 30-year history of LEF, following longtime Executive Director Connie Pelphrey. White, who came up through Lewisville ISD with his start at Timber Creek Elementary followed by Lamar Middle and graduating from Marcus High, has two children in the school district as well. After nearly a decade teaching in academia at the University of Oklahoma, White stepped into the non-profit world as Assistant Director of Advancement and External Relations at the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center. From there, he entered collegiate fundraising as the Director of Development Communication at OU before serving most recently as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations Communications at the University of Arlington. “As both a parent of LISD students and a graduate of the school district, I know that this foundation makes a difference,” said White. “Connie has done a tremendous job establishing LEF as an integral partner in the community, and I hope to build on her legacy.”
