Archie Milton to speak at the January 26th Rotary Meeting

Archie Milton will be speaking about the ArSiMil Education Fpundation. The ArSiMil Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with focus on music, arts, and education. It is founded by veteran music teachers and performers;Archie and Simonia Milton, who have a combined 95 years of teaching and performing experience.
The purpose of ArSiMil Education Foundation is to provide free music lessons in vocal and instrumental music to school aged students who are socially and economically unable to afford private tutelage, and senior citizens in assisted living and/or retirement homes who have the desire and passion to learn music.
We live in an age where the arts have been largely removed from the modern day school curriculum.Music teaches the student how to think. It teaches mathematical formula and creative problem solving in lessons which activate the left and right hemispheres of the brain in a process that is as enjoyable as it is educational. It connects the logical and the artistic expressions and enlightens the student.
Our project is based in our desire to instill a love for music and the arts in children and adults; especially those in our community who are unable to pursue that desire because of lack of opportunity or resources.
