Fred Busche, Phd
 
Fred is a fellow Rotary member from Highland Village and a Highland Village City Council member. In addition, he has agreed to serve on our pending Vocational Training Team involving our club and the Nasik Rotary Club in India.
 
Fred Busche was elected to City Council in May of 2012 after previously serving on City Council for six years, from 2001 – 2007. Most recently Mr. Busche served on the Planning & Zoning Commission and was the County appointed board member to the Denton County Transportation Authority.

Mr. Busche holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science in Volcanology from the University of Hawaii and a Doctor of Philosophy in geochemistry from the University of New Mexico.

Mr. Busche is an experienced software solution developer for Healthcare and Geosciences, past Academic Department Chair, and EPA Research Manager. He is patent holder of five patents addressing healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, and geosciences problems. Mr. Busche is currently Adjunct Professor of Geology and Physical Science at Brookhaven College.
