On a rainy February 17th Saturday morning seventeen of our members did an outstanding job of developing a comprehensive vision for our club that will be used for formalize an exciting strategic plan that will provide the template for serving our community and the world through 2021..

Through a dynamic process called visioning, members shared their vision and we gathered ideas that were synthesized into a comprehensive vision that represents what are club can accomplish in the community and the world between now and 2021.

A giant shout-put goes to Rotary District 5790 Visioning Team members PDG Gene Davenport, Pat Peters (Decatur Rotary), Roger Pascal (FW International Rotary) for giving up their Saturday morning to guide us through the process.
While we still have considerable work to do in developing these ideas, the exercise provides as a consensus driven, prioritized list of programs and projects that the our membership intends to accomplish between now and 2021.

Member Terry Kasen has graciously agreed to be the Lewisville Morning Rotary 2021 Vision Champion. In that roll, he will be guiding us through a series of goals and action steps for each of the vision items that will be implemented progressively over the next 36 months. He will be working with club members that have agreed to be the champion for specific projects and programs.

Quoting member Past President Todd Taylor, when you join Lewisville Morning Rotary, we hand you an oar, teach you to row and you immediately join every one of the other "People of Action"  members in moving us toward that 2021 vision.

Our next steps are to develop action steps and time lines for each project and program, assign champions/mentors and complete the planning process so that when Rotary year 2018-2019 starts on July 1, 2018 every member has their oars in the water ready to start yet another adventure in service to our community and the world at large.

Below are photo's from yesterday's session. Terry Kasen will be leading a March 8th and March 15th Club assembly with current president Jeff Siebert, president elect Ray Bowen and president nominee Tom Rowe. Our goal during those 2 sessions is to not only educate the members that could not be there Saturday but also agree to specific action steps that need to occur over the next 36 months in order to be successful.

Below is a prioritized list of ideas that were developed Saturday. After the group exhausted each of the six areas (a through F) below, each member "voted" for the top three ideas using red dots to identify their preference. We plan to further develop the 1st four items determined by number of red dots in each area at the March 8 and March 15 club assemblies.
