Lewisville Morning Rotary honors our flag and Celebrates our Veterans

HONORING OUR VETERANS
 
The Lewisville Morning Rotary will conduct its fifth Annual  U.S. Flag Retirement Ceremony and Veterans Recognition program. John Pokorny, Club President said, the public is encouraged to join us at 11 a.m. on November 7 in the Courtyard at the Medical Center of Lewisville.
 
Highlights of the program will include "Honoring The End of WWII" and its' veterans as well as all who have served our country. Special recognition will be given to the Dallas chapter of "Honor Flight" More than 1000 WWII veterans have been taken to Washington D.C. to visit all the memorials and meet with many officials.  Randy Fogle will represent "Honor Flight".

Personnel from the Lewisville U.S Army recruiting Center will demonstrate the proper folding of our flag. A narration will describe each of the 13 folds.
Members of local Boy Scout troops and the Lewisville Police Honor Guard will conduct the retirement of a worn United States Flag. A WWII veteran will close the program with the playing of Taps.
