Members of the Lewisville Morning Rotary Club joined several others in a Red Carpet Welcome of Central Elementary students on the first day of school for the 2022-2023 school year.

This annual event is one of the most fun events of the year for our members. We get to greet, hoot and holler for our adopted schools students as they walk the red carpet leading to their class rooms for their first day of school. The range of emotion among the students and their parents is amazing. From wild eyed happy to be back to tears and wanting to run back out the door.
Basic Education and Literacy is one of the Rotary's seven areas of focus for improving the world we live in. Lewisville Morning Rotary does that by supporting our local adopted school, Central Elementary School in the "Old Town" area of Lewisville. We participate in the schools various programs like the Red Carpet welcome and others as well as supporting and inspiring students with our bike award program and scholarships for CES graduates heading to college.
