Congratulations to our October Hebron High School Student of the Month, Emily Tran. 
 
Emily is a Senior. She is the daughter of Julie and Binn Tran. "She was nominated this month by Dale Rodgers, Architecture and Engineering Design Instructor at Hebron High school. Here is what Mr. Rodgers had to say about Emily. "Emily serves as the Technology Student Association President as well as participating in the HHS Band. She maintains excellent academic standing while challenging herself with rigorous schedule that includes AP courses."

Mr.Rodgers goes on to say "that Emily has many important qualities and traits that make successful citizens and positive contributions to society including honesty, integrity, dedication, empathy, patience, willingness to serve, compassion, maturity, intelligence, work ethic, professionalism and leadership."
 
Her list of Service Above Self activities would make any Rotarian proud including volunteering at the CCA Food Pantry, Metrocrest Homes fixing up senior yards, the Lakeview Retirement Center, Operation Kindness, and the annual Extra Yard 5k in Dallas. She also is a counselor at Sunray Chinese School and writes a weekly newsletter.
 
Her fondest memory thus far of High School is being a member of the contest winning the Lone Star Drum Line.
 
Emily plans to become a Masters prepared Architect.
