On Saturday, Feb 17, 2018, club membership will see into the future at Wine with Appeal on 917 N Mill St in Lewisville. No, we will not be using a crystal ball. But we will be visioning.

To continue as a vibrant successful Rotary club, members need to plan not for just tomorrow or next month but at least 3 years into the future. This year (2017-2018), our club is completing the third year of a Strategic Plan that was developed in the spring of 2015. Well done Strategic Plans take a lot of effort and require input from as many members as possible.

Have you started our homework yet? On Jan 18th, PDG Gene Davenport did an excellent presentation introducing Visioning at our club meeting. He left us with some homework to complete prior to coming to the Feb 17th meeting. Click Feb 17 Visioning Exercise to download a copy of the homework. Bring it with you Feb 17. We want everyone to attend, but if your schedule prohibits attendance, please send your completed copy to me at ray.bowens@yahoo.com
This year, our club will be using a Visioning Process led by PDG Gene Davenport and three members of the District 5790 Visioning Team. The Visioning Team is a service offered by District 5790 leadership that provides a specific process for collecting, distilling and selecting member ideas into one cohesive plan that provides a unified direction for the clubs efforts throughout each of the next 3 years. The effort is so refined that the task can be completed in one 3 hour meeting versus the 6 0ne hour meetings spent for our previous 2015 Strategic Plan.

Please register your intention to attend at Visioning LMR 2021. If you can't stay the entire 3 hours, please come Feb 17 and spend as much time as your schedule permits. Member input is extremely important for an effective process.

We will be having refreshments and snacks throughout the Visioning at Wine with Appeal. For those that don't know, Wine with an Appeal is owned by member Tom Rowe. He has offered to let us use his facility for this visioning exercise. Thank you Tom.
