Lewisville Morning Rotary members provide
Veterans Recognition Program for residents for
the Pinewood Hills Retirement Community
in Flower Mound, Texas
 
Lewisville Morning Rotary members Mark Smith, Mary Jones, Frank Hebb and Bob Troyer provided a veterans recognition ceremony for the residents of the Pinewood Hills Retirement Community on Veterans Day 2020.

Hold the date for our Virtual Christmas Party
Lewisville Morning Rotary Board of Directors
approved a Virtual Christmas Party this year in
keeping with the need for Covid 19 Safety practices.
The date has been set for Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020
 
We are making plans to celebrate a great Christmas party at this end of the year celebration as we all give 2020 a good swift boot off the planet. Plans are being finalized this coming week. Watch our FB Page and Website for details.
 
 
Lewisville Morning Rotary members to participate in a Covid 19 modified version our Santa event for the 2020 Holiday Stroll
 The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club is joining forces with the
Main and Mill Association and the Old Town Business Association
to present a safe Covid 19 version of the traditional Holiday Stroll
at Wayne Ferguson Plaza in Old Town Lewisville
 
Instead of the traditional Pancakes with Santa on the plaza, club members will be greeting holiday strollers and giving out Santa Treat Sacks for good little children and their folks. To volunteer for one of the remaining time slots click here
LMR Members volunteered last Saturday for the Salvation Army's Annual Red Kettle
 It's Tradition! Every Saturday after Thanksgiving several members
volunteer for the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Duty Fundraiser
at Sam's Club in Lewisville. This year was different. Thank you to members Deanna Perkins, Traci Petteway, Jeff Lighton, Ray Bowens, Tom Rowe, Bob Troyer and Mark Smith for volunteering to cheer on the kettle donors. Their efforts raised over $600 for the Salvation Army.

Dedication Ceremony for trees planted by Lewisville Morning Rotary
The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club had a small dedication ceremony to celebrate our partnership with Lewisville Parks and Recreation and Keep Lewisville Beautiful to plant trees in areas lacking green space. Our 9 Redbud trees will help enhance the Garden Ridge Blvd. Trail. #lewisvillemorningrotary, #ParksandRecLV, #PeopleOfAction

Lewisville Morning Rotary collecting Sox and Gloves for homeless vets
Lewisville Morning Rotary Club is partnering
with the Denton County Veterans Coalition to
seek donations of sox and gloves for homeless 
veterans in Denton County area.
 
Our veterans have served and protected us. Some have fallen on hard times and are homelessness. Please help us provide sox and gloves to these vets. Please drop off your donation of new sox and or gloves at one of the Jim Verfurth family of restaurants; Verf's Grill and Tavern, Shoal Creek Tavern and Lambeau's America Kitchen and Taps. You can also drop off new sox and gloves at Kwik Kar Vista Ridge.

Please continue to pray and keep Frank Hebb in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to mend  Also, pray for our President Elect, Traci Petteway who is attending the Lonestar President Elect Training this week. The training is Monday through Saturday. All the sessions are virtual. Anyone has gone through 6 plus hours of Zoom meeting per day will understand the need for prayers. Its exhausting. Thank you Traci for your commitment to lead us next year.
