Congratulations to our April Student of the Month, Richard Keys
Scot Finch-principal at Hebron High School presented Richard Keys with the Lewisville Morning Rotary Club Student of the Month award! Richard was selected as Hebron High School's Student of the Month for his senior class. This young man does an incredible amount for his school, church and community. He follows in his father's footsteps in serving his community-his father is Lieutenant Byron Keys of the City of Irving Police Department.
Coming in from playing, little Freddy looked confused. His mom asked, "Is something the matter?"
"I just was talking with old Mr. Dodd," Freddy replied. "He was searching through his big garbage container and I asked him what he was looking for."
"He said, 'Please don't bother me now Freddy, I've thrown out my back!'"
Little Freddie may have been confused, but in fact Back Pain is not funny.
We may not have "thrown out" our back trash diving like old man Dodd in this story. But, most of us at one time or another experienced back or joint pain of some type and needed the medical services of a Chiropractor like our fellow Rotary Member Dr. Kelly Reed.
Choosing a medical professional whose expertise in Chiropractic medicine is a challenge. In addition to muscular skeletal skills, we want someone with integrity, honesty and is a caring person. Knowing that the person is a Rotary member helps to make that choice. Caring and honesty is part of our creed.
The next time you need such service consider. Dr Reed of the Lewisville Chiropractic Center, 326 S Edmonds Ln Suite 104, Lewisville, TX 75067
This is the story of four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. Consequently, it wound up that Nobody told Anybody, so Everybody blamed Somebody.
Moral of this not-so-funny story? The moral for our readers is that these four people are not the kind of people that join Lewisville Morning Rotary. Our members are People of Action.. We see a need, we exchange ideas how to address the need, we take action.
We we we
If you are the kind of individual that wants to make a difference in our community and our world come join us for breakfast.
We meet every 7 AM Thursday morning at the Christian Community Action Community Room.

Cassandra is the Our Community Matters Program Coordinator. The Our Community Matters Program (OCMP) is focused on providing community education and awareness information/events to the often underserved population of African-American victims and survivors of family violence, domestic violence, or dating violence and their children in the Denton County community.
Each ethnicity or race has its own unique personality and inclination (or not) towards the therapeutic and healing process. As service providers, it is our job to recognize these sensitivities as well as any barriers we contribute that might hinder a successful outcome. The OCMP is designed to help discuss these sensitivities and barriers in a genuine and validating way; this program hopes to shine light onto statistics and conversations that are often not discussed. This program can’t thrive without community partnerships and stakeholders such as churches, businesses, schools, etc.
Cassandra would love to tell you more about Denton County Friends of the Family and the Our Community Matters Program.
Lewisville Morning Rotary meets at 7 AM on the 1st, 2nd 3rd Thursday of the month and a 7 PM on the 4th Thursday of the month at Old Town Brewhouse, 146 Whatley Rd, Lewisville, TX
