Know your Foundation Facts
For Rotary clubs to receive Rotary Foundation Matching Funds for their projects, they must demonstrate that the project achieves sustainable results in at least one of Rotary's six areas of focus. This year our club will be submitting a District Grant application for our Annual Dictionary Project and continue to seek partners for our Light-up-a-Smile Dental Equipment Global Grant project. We are also considering participation in a Vocational Training Team with Rotary Club of Nasik in India in early 2020.

LMR's RYLA Participants return Energized
Early on the morning of June 27th Mark Smith transported TCHS student leaders Ethan Bulkeley and Kaitlin De La Rosa to Stephanville's Tarleton State University for 4 days of intensive leadership training. He and his wife picked them up again Sunday. Mark worked closely with students and the district to submit their applications. Lewisville Morning Rotary  provided scholarships for each to attend RYLA. They will be joining us at a future meeting. Meantime, here is an update of their adventures.

Lewisville Morning Rotary to Launch a Rotary Community Corps
Rotary Community Corps (RCCs) are teams of men and women
who work in partnership with Rotary clubs to improve their communities

Membership in an RCC is open to any adult in the community who shares Rotary’s commitment to service but is not a Rotary member.  The RCC model is flexible and can mobilize volunteers from all walks of life. Informal meetings typically take place once per month and attendance is not mandatory.  This flexibility encourages diversity in membership and allows members to focus solely on service projects. RCCs also provide their members with opportunities to collaborate with Rotarians. Anyone interested in becoming an RCC member can submit an application form here.
