2022 District Assembly Message

Calling All Rotary District 5790 Rotarians!

Come join me on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm for the District Assembly at the First United Methodist Church, Graham, Texas. Our district leadership team will be “Walkin’ the Walk” and “Talkin’ the Talk” to help you and your leadership team be more successful at leading your Rotary clubs next year.

It’s your opportunity to hear inspiring words from our keynote speaker, Dr. John Kuhn, and to learn about your role as a leader of your club. There will also be time to exchange ideas and make new Rotary friends.

Come get “CRAZY” with me as we start to imagine how our Rotary Clubs can change lives in our communities and in the world.

DISTRICT 5790 GOVERNOR'S SERVICE PROJECT

District 5790 Clubs are encouraged to relieve hunger and food insecurity for school-aged children by supporting agencies in their communities. Hunger can affect people from all walks of life. Millions of people in America are just one job loss, missed paycheck, or medical emergency away from hunger. But hunger doesn't affect everyone equally - some groups like children, seniors, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color face hunger at much higher rates. Hunger also most often affects our neighbors who live in poverty.

Governor-Elect Steele is modeling how simple this can be by encouraging our clubs to embrace this project by bringing some items to the Assembly, and they will be donated to the Mineral Wells Rotary Club’s Back Pack Buddies Project.
