Early on the morning of June 27th Mark Smith transported TCHS student leaders Ethan Bulkeley and Kaitlin De La Rosa to Stephanville's Tarleton State University for 4 days of intensive leadership training. He and his wife picked them up again Sunday. Mark worked closely with students and the district to submit their applications. Lewisville Morning Rotary provided scholarships for each to attend RYLA. They will be joining us at a future meeting. Meantime, here is an update of their adventures.
Kaitlin and Ethan both had a good time and said they learned a lot. They did some different games and exercises that helped them work with others in a team. They also did a community service project at a local park. I asked them to join us at one of our club meetings in the future to give us an overview of what they did and learned. Kaitlin is now in Austin to spend time with her dad, brother, and grandmother until the end of July. Here are a few photo's from Katlin. More to come from Ethan.
